As our community matures, the number of tokens, sets, and themes they manage increases. As a result, they are requesting some new ways to keep their tokens better organised in the plugin:
Token Groups
re-order token groups
make it easier to only view token groups that are populated
today the "show empty groups" button is at the bottom of all the populated tokens
make it simpler to collapse and open token groups
today folks with lots of tokens in the same set have to do a lot of scrolling to find the right group to collapse/expand
add a keyboard shortcut to rename the token group (cmd + click) similar to how its done for editing a single token.
add the possibility to move tokens from one token group to another token group/to the top level
Token Sets
make it simpler to collapse and open all token sets in the left hand menu of the plugin
Improve the visibility of long token set names and nested folders within the left hand menu (resizing)
remember the configuration of the left hand token set menu on launch of the plugin
Token View
temporarily view all tokens in all sets in a single view to search, sort, filter or group without changing the structure of the token architecture.

Proposal:
1. Display Token Count:
βͺ Show the number of tokens next to the name of each group and subgroup.
βͺ Facilitates easy tracking of the number of tokens in each set. Display the number of tokens in the token list, e.g., Typography (12), Colors (24), Spacing (8).

Token Maintenance
when duplicating tokens or groups, allow for more than one selection at a time
today the dropdown closes after every selection which results in 3x the number of steps to complete the same task.
when duplicating tokens, the UX of adding to the same set causes error messages right away and the flow needs refinement.
when creating or editing tokens, the reference tokens available in the dropdown could benefit from some better UX for people who prefer to use keyboard shortcuts
Today the tab and enter to select and save don't work as expected.
when moving a Token to a different Token set, you have to duplicate the token in the new destination Token set, and then remove the original Token. It would be much faster to have a way to move a Token without needing to duplicate.
Navigating
when I leave my current place in the plugin then comeback, I want my visual configuration to persist
Which token set I am on
Which groups are open/close
Consider the user experience of managing more complex token systems to improve the UI of the plugin for optimal organization of tokens to enhance the user experience of power users.
What other organizational features do you wish were in the plugin?
How does this issue impact your day-to-day workflow?
What workarounds do you have?
