🧑‍💻 Sync to external token storage enhancements

As we increase our support for syncing tokens externally to storage and git providers, the community is requesting some enhancements to better align with their design to development processes:

• Easily use the same sync provider across multiple Figma files

  • duplicating settings and credentials instead of manual setup each time

• Improve the form to collect sync provider details

  • the label for "username/repo" is not accurate for all sync providers

  • designers might not know which parts of their repo URL to use

• Add optional information to sync settings for teams with enhanced security processes, like specifying a proxy, showing verified tags when commits are pushed

• Ensure the current branch and sync provider is obvious to the person using the plugin

  • When managing multiple sync providers with similar branch names and shared personal access tokens across many projects, the user experience is less than optimal (Github issue # 1892)

• Improve ‘Error syncing with Sync provider’ toast

  • Currently when users are trying to connect to a sync provider and there’s incorrect information for whatever reason, the dialog does not provide enough information as to why they’re unable to connect.

• GitHub read-only improvements (using fine-grained token):

  • Disable the token edit possibility

  • Disable push button

• When Tokens Studio recognizes a missing sync credentials on start of the plugin, it should also offer a way to set the storage to "local".
  Or at least, somewhere in the settings should be the option to switch to local storage.

Revisit the sync to external storage process to support teams managing projects across multiple repositories and sync providers to avoid security-related blockers?
