🪄⚙️ Settings page enhancements

The V2 release of the plugin has several new features which impacted the settings page and we took the opportunity to give the UI a bit a love in the process.

You might notice:

• More spacious and modern UI elements

• Tooltips (?) added next to settings to get additional information on demand

• Descriptive labels for actions

Some settings have moved

• Ignore first part of token name for styles

• Prefix styles with active theme name

  • Now located in the new Styles and Variables Options menu → Jump to roadmap

New Token Storage/Sync provider settings

• Add new provider action

  • Now at the top of the sync provider list

  • Action opens a modal to select your provider

    • Enhanced UI experience for the growing list of integrations we support.

• Local document token storage (tokens not synced externally) always visible,

  • Previously only visible when an external sync provider was connected

• Supports Bitbucket as a new Sync provider

• Supports Tokens Studio Platform as a new Sync Provider

  • More details TBD

• Supports a W3C Design Tokens Community Group compatible JSON Schema

  • Convert from Legacy token format to W3C DTCG Format

  • The token format for active token storage is visible (how JSON files are written)

    • W3C DTCG or Legacy icons
