🪙 📸 Asset token enhancements

Today our asset tokens have limited functionality, especially when compared to other token tools in our space. The community is requesting some enhancements:

• Ensure asset tokens can be refreshed when pulled

  • Today there is a known issue due to image caching (Github # 2401) where the plugin does not refresh images after server update in multi-themes setup.

• Add support for different fill image settings (Github #3233)

  • Fill

  • Fit

  • Tile

• Add support for SVG's or icon library management

😬 The reality

At the time of writing, assets (or File) is not an official token type in the DTCG W3C specs, but is mentioned as likely to be included (8.8 Additional types).

• Other organizations who have deviated from the spec are supporting icons as a part of their token management offering.
